Description
The Bay Psalm Book (complete title: The Whole Booke of Psalmes Faithfully Translated into English Metre) is a metrical psalter first printed in 1640 in Cambridge, Massachusetts. It contains no melodies, only texts, but this excerpt is included here because Dr. Southern devotes several paragraphs to it in The Music of Black Americans.
